3RD ANNUAL MISSION TRIP TO APPALACHIA

This August 1st there will be a group of young adults from Spirit and Truth Linden and Perth Amboy heading off to take part in the Glenmary Mission in Vanceburg, Kentucky for one week.

They will be able to spend time away from their daily lives to focus on prayer and be present to each other as well as the community they will be serving. Most importantly they will be witnesses of our faith to the people of Appalachia.

Let's lift up in prayer our missioners, the Glenmary mission and the people of Appalachia.

Spirit & Truth New Jersey - July 17th, 2009

This Friday we will have a Festival of Praise aka the FOP.

We will have more time for praise and worship and

extended time in front of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

There will also be an opportunity for confession.

SERVICE EVENTS ~ JULY

Group service events are a great way to get out into the community to share God's love with others as well as to get to know each other on a deeper level.

July 18th ~ 10am-12pm we will be going on our monthly visit with the seniors of the St. Joseph's nursing home. - postponed

July 25th ~ 8am -3pm we will be helping to paint Koinonia Academy - a private Catholic school.


St. John the Apostle our home parish is also asking young adults to be teacher's for the CCD program.
