1. What struck you most in this passage? What did you notice that you hadn't noticed before?
2. Why do we sometimes find it hard to forgive others? What can we do to develop the capacity to forgive more fully and more freely, as Christ forgives us?
3. In what ways do our present circumstances encourage us to fall into pharasaical (hypocritical) self-righteousness?
4. How do you think the disciples reacted to this encounter?
